The owner of the bar approached me to do a series of illustrations, after some renovations finding the original sketch of what the builders of the building had planned from the 50’s. Originally it was a dough nut shop called “The Big Donut”. Then later on in the 60’s it became a gentleman’s club called “The Bunny Club”. Then in the 90’s it finally became what it is today, the local neighborhood favorite “The Marquis II” or also referred to as “M2” or “The Deuce”.
These are the representations of the times and transitions of the place that has stood the test of time.
